Coil O.D. 84" Maximum with Clearance for 96" Sprung Coils Above Floor Self Contained Hydraulics General Construction: The car is of rugged fabricated steel construction. Lift Platform: The platform is part of the coil car housing, enclosing all controls and power equipment. The platform is raised and lowered for coil positioning by means of a hydraulic cylinder. Cam rollers and hardened bars guide the platform in its vertical motion. 'V' type rollers are mounted on the coil car platform. Wheels: The car is mounted on four hardened wheel. Wheels on one side are double flanged for guiding purposes. Wheel are supported in grease lubricated roller bearings and two are driven via chain and sprocket by hydraulic motor. Rails by customer. Hydraulics. A complete hydraulic system is supplied including pump, motor, valving and controls for power to lift cylinder and wheel drive. Electrics: The electrical system includes an AC motor, starter and retractable cable reel for power. A safety circuit is provided to ensure that the coil car does not move until the coil is lifted clear of the entry conveyor (approximately 4"). Saddles must be used when processing coils narrower than 36"
